Eternit fibre cement sheets are manufactured from cement, water and reinforced with natural and synthetic fibres.
The advantages of using Eternit fibre cement sheets are:
Weather-resistant: Eternit profiled sheets provide long-term protection against all weather conditions.
Soundproofing: Sound-suppressing fibre cement helps manage noise in the indoor environment.
Breathable, moisture and climate-regulating: Humidity in the form of water vapour is purposefully absorbed and reduces the formation of condensation droplets.
Stays cool in summer and warm in winter.
Fire rating Class A2-s1,d0: Fire classification when tested against the EN13501-1, is A2-s1-d0.
Lightweight: With the use of reinforcing fibres, allows for a lightweight roof covering per m2.
FarmTec can be used in almost any roofing situation but is ideal for agricultural, livestock, and storage buildings.
UrbanPro is the perfect scale for the domestic, equestrian, light industrial and commercial sectors.
Eternit FarmTec sheets are available in Natural Grey, Farmscape Anthracite, Dark Brown, Dark Green, Midnight Blue, and Black.

Yes, they can be installed on domestic roofs, speak to our technical team for further information.
The sheets are semi-compressed, moisture and climate-regulating.
Humidity in the form of water vapour is purposefully absorbed and reduces the formation of condensation droplets.
We do not recommend the use of Farmscape anthracite sheets on a domestic build as the sheets have a coloured pigment applied to the surface of the natural grey wet flat material. This provides a subtle variance to the tone, this may cause colour differences between batches of material, leaving the roof a variant of colours.
Minimum roof pitch for FarmTec is 10° / Minimum roof pitch for UrbanPro is 7°.
If using roof windows such as Velux the minimum pitch for all sheets should be increased to 15°.
Please see our FarmTec Fixing Guide here for further information.
Minimum timber purlin size is 50mm wide x 75mm deep. Please see our FarmTec Fixing Guide for further information.
When installing our sheets on roofs above 30° with our Eternit topfix fasteners, support clips will be required on all sheets (2 clips per sheet) to support the weight of the sheet.
The support clips are also required on all vertical installations when our topfix fasteners are used for fixing through the crest corrugations.
Please see our FarmTec Fixing Guide here for further information.
Please refer to the exposure maps within our fixing guides to determine end lap and sealant requirements for your project.
Please see our FarmTec Fixing Guide here for further information.
No, maximum fixings are 2 per purlin per sheet, no more and no less. Extra fixings can cause stress on the sheet causing the sheet to crack. Please see our FarmTec Fixing Guide here for further information.
Yes, you can fix solar panels to our fibre cement sheets.
Please see our Solar Panel Installation Guide for more information.
